L.A. Christmas Trees: A Movement
written by Victor A. Charlo & Zan Agzigian
directed by Betsy Theobald Richards

Two Salish Indian guys (Ray and Satchmo) from the Flathead Reservation in NW Montana and one white guy (Artie) get wind that there is big money to be made in Los Angeles selling Christmas trees direct-and-fresh-cut from Montana. They decide to do a flash road trip in a U-Haul with the goal of bringing a decent amount of “cold hard cash” back to the rez just in time for the holidays. Chaos reigns and a host of unique customers come and go from the Mexican-American Catholic church they set up in. Through everything, the symbolism of the freshly cut trees are a sign of HOPE, for all.
